My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Jjukjjuki Age: About 2 Years Old (Born on 08/20/2024) Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Black and White Weight: 11kg / 24lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued after kind people reported that I had been hit by a car on a quiet country road. I underwent three surgeries to repair my injuries, but despite everyone's best efforts, my right front leg couldn't be saved and had to be amputated. Thanks to the incredible care I received, I've recovered well and don't let having three legs slow me down. Now I'm ready to leave my past behind and find a forever family to share a lifetime of love, happiness, and new adventures with.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues Amputation of the right front leg due to car accident   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Jjukjjuki! I'm a Jindo with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, so I appreciate being given a little time before being touched. The good news is that I warm up much faster than you might expect—especially if you happen to have a tasty treat! Once I trust you, I become incredibly affectionate and will happily lean in for pets, cuddles, and all the attention I can get. Thanks to my walks with different volunteers, I'm becoming more confident with new people every day, and it's been wonderful discovering that the world isn't so scary after all. I get along well with other dogs, although I do best with polite friends who respect my space. Even though I am missing one front leg, it doesn't slow me down one bit! I love to run, jump, and enjoy life just like any other dog. If you're looking for a resilient little companion whose confidence blossoms with love and patience, I'd be so happy to meet you and show you just how special I am.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet, but a tasty treat is a wonderful way to win me over! I'll happily accept snacks from new friends and begin building trust right away. I may need a little extra time before I'm ready for gentle pets, but once I feel comfortable, my sweet and affectionate personality shines through. When we've become friends, I'll even roll over and show you my belly—a special sign that I trust you completely. I'm comfortable being gently picked up, making it easy to care for and cuddle me. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still looking forward to discovering what they're like. · With Dogs: I'm polite and friendly with other dogs and enjoy walking over to say hello when we meet. While I'm not usually the type to jump into playtime, I appreciate the company of other calm, well-mannered dogs—especially those around my own size. I do best with thoughtful, slow introductions, as I may stand up for myself if another dog is overly pushy or confrontational. With proper introductions, I can build positive relationships and enjoy peaceful canine companionship. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring at my own pace. After I've had some fresh air and exercise, I'm happy to settle down and relax by your side. I'm an experienced walker with good leash manners and enjoy staying close to my person without pulling. One of my favorite parts of a walk is stopping to sniff and discover all the interesting scents around me, so I like to take my time exploring. I feel most comfortable walking in quiet, peaceful areas, while busy roads with lots of traffic can be a little overwhelming for me. With patience and encouragement, I'm continuing to build my confidence in new environments.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from people or other dogs. If there's something I really want, I might let you know with a little bark—it's just my way of communicating! I may also bark when I see unfamiliar people because new faces can make me feel a little unsure at first, but with calm introductions and a little patience, I can become more comfortable. I'm calm and relaxed in my kennel I'm flexible with my potty habits, comfortably using both indoor pee pads and going outside for bathroom breaks.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Don't let my three legs fool you—I’m full of energy and enthusiasm! Even without one of my front legs, I love staying active, exploring the world, and can jump surprisingly well. I've adapted beautifully and don't let anything hold me back.    JJUKJJUKI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2780993##
