My story

Friendly, Loyal & AffectionateBIO: - Viszla/Hound Mix, 3 yrs old, Female (spayed)- Medium-Large (57 lb), Medium/High energy level- Delaney was found as an emaciated stray; taken in by a municipal shelter until eventually coming to us where under the care of her Foster Family she is almost back to her ideal weight- Delaney is house-trained, crate-trained, microchipped and has her core vaccinations ABOUT DELANEY: - Delaney walks beautifully on a loose leash and enjoys getting outside to explore at her own pace- Delaney is happiest when she`s simply spending time with you—whether that`s going for a walk, playing, training, or relaxing together- A little reserved at first, at her core she is a soft-hearted girl who blossoms with patience and kindness- She already knows sit and paw and is very food-motivated, which will help with trainingDELANEY’S IDEAL HOME:- Delaney will thrive with an active family who enjoys walking and hiking- She would love a calm home with patient adopters; a quieter, more predictable environment will be important as her confidence continues to grow- She is very social with her people and likes to interact through play and training- Delaney would be best with older children (10+ yrs old) who understand that slower and calmer is better- She would do best in a home without shared walls as she can be vocal at times- She would do well with a backyard - an elevator may be intimidating for her- Delaney may do well with another pet in the home, if her adopter already has a pet we will arrange for a meet and greetIf you adopt Delaney, you`re actually getting two new family members.
