My story

*Note: Kabi is currently in Korea, but he will be arriving in Toronto once aodpted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please click here.BackgroundKabi was rescued from the Miryang city pound this spring. After his rescue, he was transferred to our partner boarding facility, where he has been living alongside other rescue dogs while waiting for a family to call his own.Personality and SocializationKabi is a sweet, gentle, and easygoing dog with a calm nature. He enjoys human companionship and happily accepts attention from everyone he meets. One of Kabi’s most endearing qualities is his soft and affectionate personality. He loves being close to his people and enjoys receiving gentle pets, affection, and simply spending time together. With his moderate energy level, Kabi is an easy companion who enjoys both activity and relaxation.Kabi gets along very well with other dogs and is known for his polite and peaceful interactions. He especially enjoys spending time with dogs friendly and well mannered. His gentle temperament makes him an easy fit in group settings.Kabi has not been tested with cats, so we cannot predict how he would react. But given his gentle personality, we believe he may be able to live successfully with a cat with proper introductions and supervision.BehavioursKabi is a well mannered young dog who has adapted nicely to life at the boarding facility. He can be a little nervous when walking in unfamiliar environments, but once he becomes comfortable, he enjoys his walks and likes exploring his surroundings. He rides well in the car, behaves nicely during veterinary visits, and cooperates during baths. Kabi is generally a quiet dog and is not known to bark excessively. As Kabi is still young and has not yet experienced life in a home environment, it is difficult to predict whether he may develop separation anxiety. His future family should be prepared to help him adjust through patience, routine, and positive reinforcement.Health and DietKabi is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and receives monthly parasite prevention. Kabi previously tested positive for Anaplasma from a tick bite but has completed treatment. He is healthy, thriving, and ready to find his forever family.Kabi has no known allergies and is currently healthy and thriving. He eats dry kibble twice a day and enjoys his meals.Ideal HomeKabi would do best in a home where he can continue building confidence and enjoying life as a cherished family member. Because he is still young, we are looking for adopters with a flexible schedule who can provide companionship, guidance, and continued training as he settles into home life.Someone who works from home, is retired, or spends a significant amount of time at home would be an excellent match. Kabi could thrive as an only dog receiving plenty of attention from his family, or he could happily share his home with another friendly and playful canine companion. With his gentle personality, affectionate nature, and easygoing temperament, Kabi would be a wonderful choice for first time dog guardians or for a family looking to welcome a second dog into their home.*Note: Kabi is currently in Korea, but he will be arriving in Toronto once aodpted. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please click here.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kabi, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
