My story

DAPHNE | FEMALE | DOB January 10, 2026 *Currently living in Etobicoke, Ontario* Meet Daphne, a sweet and gentle girl with a heart full of love. Daphne had a difficult start to life. She was brought to our North Shelter by someone who promised to return for her, but sadly, she was never picked up. Despite this heartbreak, Daphne continues to greet the world with warmth, trust, and an open heart. Daphne has a calm and sensitive nature that makes her a joy to be around. She settles easily into new routines and adapts well to her surroundings, finding comfort in simply being close to her people. Content to relax by your side, she has a peaceful presence that would make her a wonderful fit for many different types of homes. Daphne is a sweet, loyal girl, with 80 percent cuddles and 20 percent playful energy. She’s wonderful with kids and other dogs, always patient and waiting until they’re ready to play. She never overwhelms, just gentle in everything she does. Potty training is going well with only a couple of accidents, and she’s making progress on leash training. In the crate she settles herself after a few whines and sleeps through the night. And we always end our day with late night cuddles - Daphne loves to wrap herself around your neck as she drifts off to sleep. Daphne is gentle and loving with children and would be a great fit in any home.
