My story

***Stabler is currently being fostered in Texas*** Stabler : Shepherd mix He’s about 4 -8 months old Neutered , 3 dapp, bordetella, chip, rabies. ***He has a cleft pallet*** Very manageable and easy to work with now that he is not a new born. Texas is happy to talk to anyone about how he eats/drinks. There are surgeries for clefts but I have two cleft babies and never did the surgery and they are fine. It is possible to close, but just isn’t cheap or easy surgery. He is very playful, confident, and social. He is great with people and children. He loves other dogs and loves to play, and rough house. He would do best in a home with other dogs that want to play with him. He probably would not do well in a home with very old fragile dogs. He is extremely smart and is already showing signs of good potty training, manners and uses the door to potty outside. He walks right next to you on leash and harness. He is a fast learner!!! He loves kibbles, fresh pet balls , any meat cut into chunks and freeze dried kibbles. He cannot have anything mushy like pate style wet food, peanut butter etc. He is still drinking from his special stand up water bottle sometimes and has started to drink from a regular bowl. This will get sent with him. Although he may seem that is he is special-needs, he does not know or act like he is special needs. He does have a cleft palette, but he is a regular Shepherd puppy. He acts just like a regular puppy, The only thing different is his eating habits, and a few things to be cautious about through the years. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stabler, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
