My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Nita Age: About 6 Months Old (Born in December 2025) Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White and Beige Weight: 11kg / 24.2lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY When I was just 2–3 weeks old, my mom was rescued after she was found wandering with a severe snare injury. As the weather was rapidly turning colder, my siblings and I were rescued alongside her so we could all stay safe together. Thanks to that timely rescue, we were given the chance to grow up surrounded by care and love. Now I'm ready to find a forever family and begin the next exciting chapter of my life.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I'm Nita! I'm a sweet, gentle puppy with a sensitive soul, and I like to take my time getting to know new people. I may bark when I first see someone unfamiliar, but it's simply my way of saying I'm still figuring things out. With a little patience, kind encouragement, and maybe a few tasty treats, my affectionate personality begins to shine. I tend to feel most comfortable around calm, gentle dogs, and having a relaxed dog friend helps bring out my confidence. Like any growing puppy, I'm still learning about the world and would thrive with positive puppy training to help me blossom into my very best self. If you're looking for a loyal companion and find joy in watching a shy heart grow into a trusting one, I'd love the chance to share that journey with you.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when meeting new people and like to take my time getting to know someone. I'll happily accept treats from a new friend, but I prefer to build trust before I'm ready for gentle pets. After a few days—sometimes up to a week—my walls come down, and my sweet, loving personality begins to shine. Once I feel safe, I'm comfortable being gently picked up and enjoy spending time with my favorite people. I haven't had the opportunity to meet children under 13 yet, so I'm still waiting to discover what they're like. · With Dogs: I'm polite and enjoy saying hello to other dogs when we meet, though I'm usually more interested in greeting them than playing. I appreciate calm, respectful introductions, and I do best when first meetings are slow and positive. If another dog is overly pushy or confrontational, I may stand up for myself, so thoughtful introductions help me get off on the right paw. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I have a balanced energy level and enjoy spending time outdoors exploring the world. After I've had some exercise and fresh air, I'm more than happy to settle down and relax. I'm still gaining experience on walks, but I'm doing well and enjoy staying close to my person. I can be a little nervous in new situations and may occasionally bark at unfamiliar people, and I sometimes pull on the leash when I'm excited. With continued guidance and positive reinforcement, I'm becoming a more confident and wonderful walking companion every day.   TRAINING & HABITS I'm easygoing when it comes to mealtime and don't feel the need to guard my food from either people or other dogs. When I see unfamiliar people, I may bark at first because I like to let you know I'm feeling unsure, but with patience and kind introductions, I can learn to feel more comfortable. I'm calm and well-behaved in my kennel, which is a place where I can relax. Car rides are still a little scary for me, so I need a little help getting into the car, and I can get motion sickness on longer trips. Even though I ride quietly in my kennel, I may become carsick and vomit after about an hour of travel. I'm flexible with my potty habits and am comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going outside.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES For my safety, my adoption requires that I wear a Tractive GPS tracker. It's an extra layer of protection to help keep me safe while I adjust to my new home and begin all of our adventures together.    NITA'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2767395##
