My story

Courtesy post for:   Rainbow District Animal Services 705-673-3647 Dial 0 to get rep.   Location: 411 St Agnes St. West ,Azilda,ON   Polar is a wonderful Retriever Pyr mix who came to us with a face full of quills. He had to have two surgeries to remove all the quills. Now healed and looking for his forever home. He is a quiet, clean gentleman. Walks well on leash and we haven't seen any  aggression towards other dogs. He has not been tested with cats.  He is a pretty chill dude.  Polar is a 3 year old male weighing 75 lbs. He has now received 2 booster vaccines. Our adoption fee covers his neuter and whatever vaccines he has had.   Here is more info: Dog’s Name: Polar Breed: Retriever Pyr mix Weight: 75 lbs Gender: Male (will be neutered prior to adoption) Age: about 3 years Reason for Intake: Found Stray with a face full of quills Medical (shots etc): Good with dogs: Has to date 2 booster shots Good with cats: Have not tested Good with kids: we have no kids here.. With his personality I think he would be good Good with strangers: Yes Guarding issues: Not that we have seen at all Ever bitten a human: No Ever bitten a dog: No Behavioural issues: None that we can see House trained: VERY clean in kennel Crate trained: I don’t think it would be an issue Destructive when left alone: Not destructive with his things or his area Barks when left alone: VERY quiet at kennel. Have no past history Leash skills: His recall seems good and he walks well on leash Handling issues: Known commands: Sit, come Food on now: Preformatrin dry with can as he is not a huge eater Medical issues: No known issues Personality, likes/dislikes: He’s a very happy guy wanting pets and attention. Doesn’t like pig ears   June 18, 2026, 6:49 pm
