My story

AGE: 3 yearsSEX: FemaleBREED: Lab MixENERGY LEVEL: MediumDOG FRIENDLY: Yep!CAT FRIENDLY?: UntestedKID FRIENDLY?: Likely!Meet Money! This beautiful, gentle girl is as sweet as they come. Calm, friendly, and a little goofy, Money has a quiet charm that wins people over wherever she goes. She may be a bit shy initially and take some time to settle into a new environment, but once she's comfortable, her playful personality begins to shine. Recently retired from a demanding career in motherhood, Money is now embracing the joys of self-care, long sniffy walks, belly rubs, and discovering the world around her. She's a true food enthusiast with a particular fondness for yogurt, peanut butter, chew sticks, and punctual meal service. While she's still learning how to play with toys, she's beginning to let her fun-loving side emerge more each day.Money loves exploring the outdoors and taking her time sniffing everything on walks. She currently lives in a busy downtown environment and handles it beautifully, only occasionally feeling overwhelmed by larger crowds. Even then, she's quick to recover and move on - especially if a tasty treat is involved! She's incredibly friendly with people, greeting them with a wagging tail and often approaching for pets and attention. While she isn't an overly cuddly dog, she enjoys being close to her people, happily sitting beside them and occasionally leaning in for scratches and affection. She's house trained, crate trained, and does well when left alone, settling herself after a few minutes of whining. She's generally content if her people are working in another room and has shown herself to be an easy companion to live with. Money already knows cues like sit, down, and wait, and she responds well when asked to "slow" on walks.Money could live with another dog and has calmly initiated interactions with some canine friends. She can be intimidated by larger, barking dogs and would likely do best with a smaller, calmer companion who can help show her the ropes. She was recently reunited with her puppy, and the two had a wonderful time playing together. On walks, she may pull when she's excited or curious about another dog or something interesting in the environment, though she doesn't bark or react. She does have a prey drive and would happily chase after small animals if given the opportunity. While she isn't particularly vocal, she may bark when she's reached the end of her patience or is extremely excited, and she may whine if she needs something. Money would love a family who enjoys spending time outdoors and can give her plenty of opportunities for long, sniffy walks and exploring the world around her. Continued socialization and encouragement as she learns how to play and build confidence will help her flourish.Overall, Money is a sweetheart through and through. She's affectionate, obedient, adaptable, and full of potential. She may take a little time to open up in a new home, but once she does, you'll discover a loyal, goofy companion whose gentle nature is impossible not to love. If you're looking for a calm best friend who is ready to enjoy the next chapter of life by your side, Money may be the perfect match.Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Money?
