My story

Thank you for your interest in adopting a cat or dog. We are open for walk in visitors 10am-5pm 7 days a week. NO Appointments needed. Meet Chongo! At 8 years old, Chongo is ready to find the loving home he deserves. He came to us alongside his brother after spending his entire life with a homeless woman who cared deeply for them. Wanting a better future for her beloved dogs, she made the incredibly selfless decision to surrender them so they could find safe, stable homes of their own. The shelter is a big adjustment for Chongo, and he's still learning that he's safe here. Even so, his sweet and gentle nature shines through. He has a quiet, kind soul and is the type of dog who seems happiest simply being near the people he trusts. To our knowledge, Chongo gets along well with other dogs. His ideal family would be one that appreciates the simple things in life—a peaceful home, leisurely days, and plenty of time to share love with this deserving senior boy. After everything he's been through, Chongo is ready for a soft place to land and a family to call his own. If you're looking for a calm, loyal companion to share life's quieter moments, Chongo may be the perfect match.
