My story

Jack loves people. He fetches, he enjoys walks but needs leash training, he will be attached to your hip if you let him. He gets some separation anxiety, our dad didn't leave the house for longer than a few hours at a time and Jack got very used to having him around all the time. He has learned to listen when you tell him not to jump, but he begs for food if you eat near him. He was very enthusiastic about meeting a 6-year-old child, but a little too excitable to be unsupervised with him.He liked our dad's other dog of a similar size, but she was older and he had too much puppy energy for her. He has not been around other smaller dogs, he should not be kept with cats. He'll play tug of war until your arms are tired, he likes it when you let him win so he can do a victory lap around the yard with the toy. He's only about 4 and very teachable, but he's used to a very permissive owner who let him sleep in the bed and jump on him, and he's grieving the loss of his person.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Jack, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
