My story

Stryker is a handsome husky with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He and his sister were sadly abandoned at a kennel, so much of his early history is unknownbut what is clear is that Stryker absolutely loves people. He is incredibly social, friendly, and thrives on human connection, making him the kind of dog who quickly becomes everyones best friend. Loyal to the core, he sticks close to his people and truly embodies the phrase mans best friend. This medium energy, enthusiastic boy loves being part of the action and will do best in an active home where he can enjoy regular walks, mental enrichment, and ongoing training. Stryker is playful, fun, and always ready for adventure, but once hes had a chance to burn off his energy, he transforms into a total cuddle bug who happily sleeps beside you and soaks up belly rubs. Hes generally a quiet guy, though hell occasionally charm you with a classic husky awoo when he has something to say.Stryker does best with experienced dog owners who can provide structure and consistency. He can become anxious if left alone for long periods while confined and may get a bit destructive, so a home where people are around most of the time is ideal. He can also get mouthy when overly excited, especially if someone is in his face, so a home without young children is preferred. He is very food motivated (especially when beef liver treats are involved!) and enjoys enrichment like snuffle mats and Kongs, but hell need help learning boundariesparticularly when it comes to stealing human food.Because of his strong prey drive, Stryker needs a home without cats or small dogs. He walks on leash but will pull when he spots small critters and will benefit from continued leash training and confidence-building, especially around larger vehicles, which he finds a bit scary. Athletic and agile, Stryker can easily clear baby gates, so a securely fenced yard with a high, solid fence (no chain link) and close supervision is a must. He is currently working on crate training and is comfortable resting in an open crate but does not enjoy being confined. All things considered, Stryker is a truly wonderful dogloving, loyal, affectionate, and full of life. In the right home, with patience, activity, and lots of companionship, he will make an incredible lifelong companion and bring endless joy to his forever family.
