My story

Wilmas story began in a crowded backyard where she was one of ten puppies growing up with several adult dogs and very little human guidance. The dogs were severely neglected and underweight, and as they matured, sibling rivalry turned intense and stressfulespecially for the females, who were being bullied. One by one, the girls were rescued as foster homes opened up, some needing months to learn that people and indoor life could be safe and kind. Wilma was the owners favorite and the only one he occasionally handled, which gave her a tiny head start in trusting humansand she has blossomed beautifully because of it.The moment she stepped into her foster home, she embraced indoor life like shed been waiting for it forever. She was instantly crate trained, house trained, and eager to learn the routines of a loving home. Today, Wilma is a joyful, silly, affectionate girl with the most striking blue eyes and a heart full of doggy enthusiasm. She is absolutely obsessed with other dogs and thrives in a multi-dog household, where she happily plays, snuggles, and follows her canine friends around like a happy little shadow. Her favorite pastime is collecting toysshe proudly hoards them in her kennel like treasured possessions and often curls up surrounded by her stash.Wilma has a gentle, easygoing nature with a medium energy level, making her a wonderful balance of playful and calm. She loves attention, enjoys being handled, and has the sweetest quirky habit of softly singing or humming like a husky when shes excited or content. Shes respectful in the home, non-destructive, rides well in the car, and is eager to continue learning leash skills with a patient family. Wilma is ready for a forever home where she can continue to build confidence, enjoy doggy companionship, and be cherished as the special girl she is. She has already come so far from neglect to lovenow she just needs her happily ever after. Name: Wilma (20260211-08)Weight: 38 lbsAge: 1.5 yrs (Est.
