Tahoe is a Royal Bahamian Potcake with a heart as big as the island breeze he must have once known. This handsome boy had been living at the shelter for about a year and a half after being found on the side of the road with no history and no one to claim him. While we may never know his past, we do know one thing for sure his future deserves to be bright. Tahoe has been an absolute joy to have as a foster dog! Hes settled into his foster home so peacefully and just lights up everyones day. He even quickly got the nickname Mr. Vibes because he honestly just vibes with whoever, whatever and whenever. Tahoe walks beautifully on a leash and very rarely pulls. He loves being outside, but loves laying down next to you at home just as much. Tahoe will quickly become your shadow, following you around everywhere. He also has the cutest quirk of lifting his paw high up in the air when he wants some pats and love. When he first came from the shelter into foster care he wasnt housetrained, but he has learned SO quickly where to do his business. He settles in his crate at night and sleeps through the whole night wonderfully! Tahoe isnt much of a barker besides the occasional excitement barks when seeing a squirrel outside, or when you havent been giving him enough attention. Hes been getting along so well with anyone he meets on walks, even little babies and toddlers! Tahoe really isnt a high maintenance dog. All he needs to be happy is your love. Since coming to Canada, Tahoe has developed a couple of health conditions that are being carefully managed. He is hearing impaired and has been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. Despite this, Tahoe is doing very well his conditions are stable, he is happy and comfortable, and he is monitored regularly by his veterinary team.
