My story

Meet Zola - A Happy, Playful Puppy Ready for Her Forever Family! Zola's story began with resilience. She is one of Mama Lola's puppies, born outdoors with her siblings as strays, without the safety and comfort every puppy deserves. Thanks to rescue, Zola and her family are now safe, loved, and getting the chance to experience what it means to be cared for. Now, this beautiful girl is ready to find a forever home where she'll never have to worry again. Like any puppy, Zola is full of curiosity, adventure, and endless affection. She loves exploring her surroundings, playing with other dogs, and soaking up attention from the people she trusts. Her happy, playful personality shines brighter every day as she continues to gain confidence and discover just how wonderful life can be. Zola is wonderful with men, women, and children, making her a fantastic addition to a family looking for a fun-loving companion. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and would especially benefit from having a confident canine sibling to play with, learn from, and help continue building her confidence. She recently met a cat and did very well. Zola is still growing and learning. She's already house trained and rides beautifully in the car, making her a great partner for family adventures. She's also working on her crate training and leash skills and is eager to continue learning with positive reinforcement and consistency. Like all puppies, she has bursts of playful energy followed by well-earned naps, and she'll need appropriate chew toys while she's teething. Because she's an active, growing puppy, Zola would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and burn off her puppy energy. She is looking for a family that understands the commitment of raising a young dog and is ready to invest the time, patience, training, and love that will help her grow into an incredible lifelong companion. Zola has never lost her joyful spirit. She's looking for a family who will continue showing her the love, security, and guidance every puppy deserves. In return, she'll fill your home with laughter, adventures, cuddles, and unconditional love. If you're ready to welcome a sweet, playful puppy into your life and watch her grow into an amazing best friend, Zola is ready to meet you! Good with women: yes Good with men: yes Good with kids: yes Good with other dogs: yes Good with cats: yes House trained: yes Crate trained: working on it Energy level: high - All puppies will have bursts of high "puppy" energy followed by a crash and recovery period where they need to be allowed to nap. Can be handled/touched: yes Flight risk: unknown - Unlikely, but all dogs should be treated as a flight risk until they are bonded with their owners Food aggressive: no Walks on leash: working on it Leash reactive to people or dogs: no Rides well in car: yes Destructive: puppy - Will chew especially when teething and will need to be redirected and provided with safe teething chews. Needs a home with a yard: yes Needs a home with another dog: yes, would be beneficial Can live in an apartment: no Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.
