My story

In March 2025, WEACT rushed out before dawn after hearing that wildfires were rapidly spreading in the GyeongnamSancheong area. With trucks loaded with water, food, and rescue equipment, the team headed straight into the fire zone. The fires quickly spread across Uiseong, Cheongsong, Yeongyang, and Andong. Thats where we met Vix. Overall, Vix is a gentle and sophisticated dog with timeless charm. With his calm and understated charisma, Vix may seem a little sensitive at first glance. But once you get to know him, youll discover a warm gentleman at heart. Rather than rushing in or demanding attention, he quietly approaches and stays by your side. He can become a steady, comforting presence you can always count on. Vix can live in either a house or an apartment. If there is another dog at home, Vix is likely to learn and grow socially through that companionship. He loves people, so a family that approaches him with understanding, patience, and gentle affection would be perfect. Vix will quietly and deeply enrich your everyday life. Are you ready to fall for his charm? Spayed/Neutered: Yes Medical Notes: Treated for heartworm. Itis believed that he had a fungal skin infection in the past, which has left some areas with slightly thinner fur on his back and around his forehead Good with women: yes, Vix is good with women Good with men: yes, Vix is good with men Good with kids: yes, older children recommended as his interactions with kids has been limited Good with other dogs: yes, Vix gets along well with other dogs and has great manners with other dogs. He lowers his posture and plays gently with smaller dogs. With larger dogs, he happily runs and joins in play. He knows how to read the room, greeting others with polite sniffing and blending in naturally during playtime. Good with cats: unknown House trained: yes Crate trained: yes Energy level: medium - two or more walks a day will be good for Vix Can be handled/touched: yes Barker: no Flight Risk: no, but it is always recommended to double leash at the beginning to be safe Food aggressive: no Current food: kibble Walks on leash: yes, Vix walks very well on leash. Anyone can walk him comfortably, and he handles leash walks with ease. Leash reactive to people or dogs: no Rides well in cars: yes, but he does experience mild car sickness this should subside with practice Destructive: no Needs a home with a yard: preferred Needs a home with another dog: preferred but not a requirement Can live in an apartment: yes Please visit our website niagaradogrescue.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Vix (20260529-03), please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
