My story

DOB: May 1, 2024 Nyx is looking for a patient adopter who understands that some of the best relationships take a little time to grow. He can be shy around new people and situations, but once he feels safe, he transforms into an incredibly affectionate companion. Earn his trust, and you'll gain a loyal shadow who comes when called, loves to be near his person, and is happiest curled up beside you for a movie night, a good book, or a cozy afternoon nap. Nyx is the definition of a lap cat. He adores cuddles and companionship, but he's also perfectly content spending quiet time on his own, especially if he has a comfy bed near a window or a high perch where he can keep an eye on the world below. His two favorite toys are a laser pointer and a hand moving around under a blanket at bedtime. He loves treats of all kinds, prefers kibble over wet food, and has an adorable habit of playing with his water—and sometimes even scooping it up with his paw to drink. Like many cats, Nyx enjoys being up high and would love a home with cat trees, shelves, or window perches where he can safely survey his kingdom. He's a curious, goofy boy with plenty of personality. Nyx plays gently and has excellent manners with people. Even when he's excited, he's careful with his claws and keeps them tucked away during play. Occasionally he gets carried away and gives soft little puppy-like nibbles, but he's easily redirected to an appropriate toy. Underneath his handsome looks is a big softie with a playful spirit and a loving heart. For someone willing to give him the time he needs to settle in, Nyx will reward that patience with endless affection, companionship, and plenty of laughs. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal best friend who will truly bond with you, Nyx may be your perfect match.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nyx, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
