My story

Note: Joor is currently in Korea but he will be arriving in Vancouver on June 8. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please click here.BackgroundJoor was rescued in March 2026 from a city pound in Gwangju, Korea. After his rescue, he moved to a boarding house, where he has been staying ever since. Despite his difficult and lonely time at the shelter, Joor has already shown himself to be a warm, social, and loving boy.Personality and SocializationJoor is an affectionate dog who loves people above all else. He is comfortable with both men and women and warms up to new people without hesitation. His energy level is moderate, making him adaptable to different home environments. He gets along well with other dogs and can play nicely with gentle and friendly dogs. At times, he may become a little jealous when attention is given to another dog. While he is not especially interested in other dogs on his own, he coexists peacefully with them. Joor has no known experience with cats.BehavioursJoor handles daily routines with ease. He rides well in the car, does well at the vet, and has no trouble with baths. He has experience with leash walking and does well outside. He prefers to do his business outdoors and is not pee pad trained. He does not have any notable barking habits and is not known to chew or destroy items.Health and DietJoor is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and up to date on his vaccinations. He also receives monthly parasite prevention. He is healthy and ready for his forever family. He eats kibble twice a day and, so far, has not shown any allergies.Ideal HomeJoor will thrive in a home where he receives plenty of human connection and is not left alone for long periods during the day. He would do best with people who enjoy having their dog close by and are looking for an affectionate companion. If there is another dog in the home, a calm and easygoing dog would suit him well. Joor may also be perfectly happy as the only dog, where he can enjoy all the love and attention for himself. He is a very lovely and affectionate boy. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky.Note: Joor is currently in Korea but he will be arriving in Vancouver on June 8. For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please click here.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Joor, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
