My story

Hello! My name is Rip, and I’m a handsome Aussie mix with a sweet personality and a big heart. I may be a little shy when I first meet new people or find myself in new situations, but once I feel comfortable, I turn into a loyal and loving companion who enjoys being close to my people. I absolutely love spending time outside, whether I’m exploring the yard, soaking up the sunshine, or playing with my favorite chew toys. After some fun and adventure, I’m always happy to relax and hang out with my family.I’ve previously lived with other dogs and would be open to having a canine sibling in my forever home. A meet-and-greet beforehand would help make sure we’re a great fit together! I’ve also been around children of all ages and did very well with them. I haven’t had any experience with cats yet, but with slow, proper introductions, I could likely coexist with them. My brother Henry and I are very close, and while we would make an awesome dynamic duo if adopted together, we do not have to go home as a pair. What matters most to us is finding loving families where we can thrive. I’m potty trained, crate trained, and dog-door trained too! I’m also eligible for the staycation program, which gives us a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other in a home environment before making things official. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle, outdoorsy pup to add to your family, come meet me today. I’d love the chance to be your new best friend!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Rip, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
