My story

Personality: Very sweet and lovable! Education: Good with bathroom and leash training Favorite Activities: He loves small walks and sun bathing inside or outside. Looking For: A mellow family, preferably with a gentle doggie sibling for adorable company. I am made for relaxed walks, hanging at the beach, smelling the grass. A single level home would be ideal for my legs. Special Needs: TVT survivor with Vasculitis, mostly in remission. Pentoxifylline ~$18.00 for 2 month's supply, Free-Form Snip Tips ~$17.00 for 2 months supply,, Doxycycline ~$20.00 for a months supply, Douxo S3 Pyo Shampoo ~$23.00 a bottle, MicroSpore lotion ~$20.00 a bottle, Gabapentin ~$14.00 for a months supply,. For Eyes: Optimmune ~$50.00 a tube, ~$12.00 a tube, Optixcare Eye Lube Plus ~$12.00 a tube. All prices depend on where purchased and market value. Bio: A diamond in the ruff! Hey there! My name is Artemis and thank you for looking past my ruffness. I am a 8 year old smol boy at 21 lbs, and a male neutered Shepherd mix. I was rescued from TJ where I had it pretty rough. I had a fractured jaw, hip, and ribs and toe bones fused together. At-Choo Foundation rescued me and tramsferred me to TAP at the right time, as a TVT survivor with Vasculitis, mostly in remission. I have routine meds that I take, but don’t worry, I am very good about it! I am an extremely good boy and fully bathroom and leash trained. These days I am contained safely when alone at home because I have been naughty and getting into treat bags when foster fam leaves. But I make it up with my excitement when they come home and I even talk to them to tell how much I missed them! I am quite chill though and low energy at home. I am incredibly sweet and so full of affection! I am enjoying my daily walks even with trouble in back leg. Just livin’ it up! When back home, soft blankies and sunshine are my jam. I get along with small doggos well, big dogs make me anxious. I adore my foster sibling and follow the doggo, learning and building confidence. I am also good with kiddos who have come home! I have been through so much and look a little rough but I am the sweetest thing. I would do good in a low level home with a backyard I can relax in. Stairs would get harder eventually due to previous injuries/ weight bearing in my back legs. Another small dog would be great company for me. I’d also do good with someone who enjoys relaxing outside and going on small daily walks. I may not be for hiking and an active lifestyle, but I am made for pausing and sniffing the flowers, sunbathe, watch the beach waves, you know, enjoy Sun Diego! I am however very easy to travel with, and still love to join. I can be adopted as TAP Medical Dog. My adoption fee includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please apply!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Artemis, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
