My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Bibi Age: 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Jindo mix Color: White Weight: 15kg / 33lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a crowded city pound after being placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t enough space left. Through no fault of my own, my future became uncertain, but thankfully kind rescuers stepped in just in time and gave me the chance to live the life I deserve. Now, I’m finally safe, cared for, and ready to leave those difficult memories behind as I search for a forever family where I can truly feel loved and belong.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’ve had a difficult past. I was roaming the streets alone while raising my puppy, May, and doing everything I could to protect and care for her. Eventually, May and I were captured and brought to the city pound together. It was a scary and uncertain time for us, but even in that environment, I remained a devoted and loving mother and raised my daughter with the best care I could give. Even though I spent a long time living at the city pound, I’ve remained bright, trusting, and affectionate with people. I still love human companionship and bond well with those around me. I also get along nicely with my dog friends, though I’m confident enough to stand my ground if another dog is being overly pushy or rude toward me. Overall, I’m a resilient, loving girl with such a gentle heart who deserves a peaceful forever home.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m super friendly with people and absolutely love receiving pets, affection, attention, and of course treats. I warm up quickly and truly enjoy human companionship. I also allow myself to be picked up and handled gently. That said, I can be a little sensitive about my back legs being touched, so I’ll need some patience and time before fully feeling comfortable with having my paws handled. With trust, gentle guidance, and positive experiences, I continue opening up more and more. · With Dogs: I’m friendly with my dog friends too and love greeting new dogs and playing together. I currently get along well with the dogs at the care facility and enjoy having canine companionship around me. That said, I can be a little sensitive around food when other dogs are nearby, so I do best with thoughtful management and structure during mealtimes and introductions. Having lived on the streets before, I learned that I sometimes needed to stand my ground to protect myself, but overall I coexist well and enjoy positive interactions with other dogs. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring, and having fun, but once I’ve had my activity and excitement, I’m more than happy to come inside and relax comfortably indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I walk well on leash and follow my handler’s lead nicely during walks. I have wonderful manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people. I can be a bit sensitive when other dogs are near by. I may bark occasionally when I want attention, but overall I’m a pretty quiet girl with a calm and gentle nature. I also know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle well when it’s time to relax. I currently prefer an outdoor potty routine and do best with consistency and structure.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Despite my difficult past and time spent surviving on the streets, I’ve remained incredibly friendly, social, and trusting toward people. I truly enjoy human companionship and love receiving affection, attention, and treats from those around me. I also get along well with dogs that I connect with and enjoy having dog friends around me. I simply do best with slower, thoughtful introductions in the beginning so I can feel comfortable and build trust at my own pace. Once I settle in, my sweet, affectionate, and easygoing personality really shines through. Underneath it all, I’m a resilient girl with so much love to give, and I know I’ll make a loyal and loving companion for the right family.   BIBI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2745604##
