My story

Tatanka is a three-year-old female Tibetan Mastiff currently in the care of Big Hearts for Big Breeds, and she is every bit as majestic as her breed suggests. This beautiful girl is looking for a home that understands guardian breeds and can appreciate both her strength and her sensitive side. Tatanka does well with other dogs and has natural protective instincts, as is typical of her breed. She is currently enrolled in a board-and-train program, where she is working on building confidence, improving her manners, and learning how to navigate the world with more ease and trust. She will do best with experienced adopters who can provide structure, leadership, and continued guidance as she progresses in her training. With patience, understanding, and the right environment, Tatanka has the potential to become an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. She is ready to find a home that will respect her instincts, nurture her growth, and give her the stability she deserves.
