My story

Fluffy is a lovely (inside and out) young cat, around one year old. She is very shy and timid at first, but she will come around once she has spent time with one or two people who are gentle and patient with her. She’s smart — so smart, she was able to unlatch the two bars on her cage one day.She is playful and curious and because she is still kittenish, she likes to chew on things she shouldn’t. The home should be kitten-proofed! She has just learned to jump up on counters this week. She loves licking Churu treats off my finger and she’s starting to learn how to come up onto my lap. With her, training requires gentleness and patience, and not pushing her too hard. She’ll get there in her own time. She’s curious about the other foster cat in the room who is a very mellow boy. They visit with each other every day. She would enjoy being with another calm and gentle cat with whom she could play and cuddle. She’s nervous with new people but once acclimatized, she is very cuddly and loves getting petted. For her, consent is important. She’ll come to you. If she feels imposed upon, she will gently bat you with her paw (no claws!).She loves to chase her red ball and when she’s tired, she curls up in her cat bed.She would do better in a home with no children, as she tends to be somewhat sensitive. One or two adults and one or two gentle, non-dominant cats would be an ideal situation for her.Because she is somewhat timid, it’s preferable that she’s adopted by people who are experienced with cats and who understand how to approach a cat with her sensitive temperament. She is absolutely delightful and will be a wonderful and rewarding pet for people who are able and willing to understand her needs.Like all ACR cats, Fluffy is up-to-date on vaccines and has been treated for fleas and parasites.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Fluffy *MUST BE ADOPTED AS A B, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
