My story

MaryJane is a ten-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua mix with a gentle spirit and a face that tells the story of a life that hasn’t always been easy. This sweet little lady was found wandering as a stray in Pinal County and brought to the shelter there. The moment we saw her, we knew she belonged with us. Little senior Chihuahuas have a special place in our hearts. When MaryJane arrived, she was overdue for the care every dog deserves. She wasn’t spayed, and her teeth were in painful condition. Since receiving a dental procedure and being spayed, she is finally feeling much more comfortable and ready to enjoy the peaceful life she deserves. MaryJane is easygoing and happy to stroll beside you on a leash or simply be carried close in your arms. She isn’t asking for much, just a quiet retirement home, a cozy bed to curl up in, and kind people who will shower her with affection and make her feel safe. MaryJane’s adoption fee is $150 and includes vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
