My story

Currently Sophie is in a foster home in Vancouver, BC.For more info about her or the adoption applicaiton, please click this link.BackgroundSophie was rescued from a city pound last fall. After her rescue, she spent three months in a loving foster home. This winter, she moved to our partner boarding house to prepare for adoption, where she lived happily with other dogs. Now Sophie lives in a foster home with another Korean Jindo in Vancouver, BC.Personality and socializationSophie is a joyful, friendly, and social girl. She gets along very well with other dogs and plays nicely as long as they are not aggressive. She enjoys the company of small dogs and is also comfortable around larger dogs. She especially likes dogs with good manners who enjoy running and playing with her. With people, Sophie is very affectionate. She is confident and not shy, and she has done wonderfully with strangers, including men. As long as she receives love and attention, she is happy and relaxed. Sophie is also very smart. She learns quickly and communicates well, making her a pleasure to spend time with.BehavioursSophie is well behaved and easygoing in most situations. When she lived in her foster home, she was left alone for several hours a day and did very well. She did not bark or cause trouble, which was especially impressive for a puppy. She is good in the car, calm during bath time, and cooperative at the vet. Sophie is adaptable, positive, and eager to please.Sophie enjoys spending time in the backyard where she feels safe and comfortable, and she has also started exploring dog parks and the neighborhood. She was a bit nervous at first, but slowly she has begun to enjoy her outings more and more. Sophie would do best with someone patient who can follow her pace and understand that she may feel a little unsure in new environments. With gentle encouragement, reassurance, and time to build confidence, she continues to make wonderful progress every day.Health and dietSophie is a loving and friendly companion who adores her human more than anything. She is very affectionate and forms strong bonds with her human. The ideal home for Sophie is one where someone is home most of the time, as she truly thrives on human companionship and loves being close to her family. A secure fenced in backyard is also very important for her, giving her a safe and comfortable space to relax, explore, and settle in while she continues adjusting to her new life in Canada. With time, patience, and steady reassurance, Sophie will continue to build confidence and blossom in a home where she feels safe and loved.Ideal homeSophie is a loving and friendly companion who can fit into many types of homes. She would do well as a first dog or as a second dog in a multi dog home. She is smart, affectionate, and loves to snuggle and play. Sophie also enjoys the company of other dogs. A home where she can be included in daily life and spend lots of time with her people would make her very happy.đź”—Adopt Sophie:https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/sophie-3/
