My story

For the well-being of our dogs, our kennels are closed to the public for general viewing. If you are interested in one of our dogs, please call 1-800-452-0114 for more information or stop by our shelters 12:00pm- 4:30pm, 7 days a week and speak to one of our adoption counselors.~ I can live in a single family home, condos and apartments considered.~ I have not had much experience with children but am willing to consider sharing my home with dog-savvy kids over 10.~ I have not had much experience with cats or dogs but am willing to consider sharing my home with an energetic furry friend.~ I am a high energy kind of dog and am looking for a home where I can get lots of exercise every day.~ My behavior is very typical for my breed. I would prefer to live with someone who has terrier experience.~ I will require regular grooming to keep me looking my best.~ I am still learning and want to get off to a great start in my new home, so I will need to continue my training here. (Obedience Training Required) Terriers make great pets, but thrive with owners who are willing to spend ample time establishing a bond with them and who dont mind a spirited debate now and again. They are tenacious, full of energy and life, and highly intelligent. Bred to hunt small game like rodents, foxes, and badgers, they do not back down easily from a challenge. They do require training and socialization early on so they dont develop undesirable tendencies toward strangers and/or other animals.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Maple, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
