My story

  URGENT: Cash Needs a Safe Haven by May 15th   Cash is a beautiful 6-year-old, 55-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who has spent his entire life as a deeply loved family companion. Now, through no fault of his own, he is facing a critical deadline to find a new home—or even a foster—by May 15th.   Cash has always had a sensitive, gentle nature. While he has thrived in a calm and predictable home, recent changes have been overwhelming for him. The addition of a baby who is now a busy, walking toddler has brought constant movement, noise, and unpredictability into his world. For a dog who depends on peace and routine to feel secure, it has simply become too much. Cash isn’t acting out—he’s anxious and no longer feels that sense of safety in the place he once called home.   Despite this, Cash is an incredibly loving dog. He is a true snuggler and a couch companion who finds joy in being close to his people. He loves human connection and does well playing with other dogs, making him an easy and rewarding addition to the right home. What he needs now is a quieter environment, ideally with older children or adults, where he can relax, rebuild his confidence, and feel at peace again.   His family loves him deeply, and this decision is heartbreaking, but they know it is what’s best for him. They want Cash to have the chance to truly thrive in a home that fits his needs.   Even a foster home would be a lifesaving solution while a permanent home is found.   Time is critical. Cash must have a place to go by May 15th.
