My story

Oh, momma Mia is just the sweetest lovebug! We love her so much! She is gentle, calm, quiet, and affectionate. She is low energy, but loves to play with other dogs if they're willing. She loves all her people and shows it with happy wiggles when you come home, snuggles, and kisses. She rolls over, hoping for a belly rub, every time someone walks by. She loves treats and takes them so gently. It's amazing because that usually has to be taught, but she does it naturally. She doesn't know the sit command, but gladly holds out her paw for a shake if you hold out your hand. When the other dogs are barking at something, she's usually just sitting back relaxing. She would bark if there was an actual reason to, she just doesn't engage in the nonsense. She gets along very well with her host family's 2 small dogs and played so well with a large dog that we dogsat. She is shy with new people, but it's so worth it once she learns she can trust you! She loves all her humans and will melt your heart with her sweet gentle love.Mia had a rough start to life. When she was found, she was so skinny you could see every bone in her body, sick, and somehow nursing 3 puppies in that condition. She was rescued and slowly nursed back to health. It's a wonder because she takes to home life so well, I can't imagine her living on the streets. She's enjoying life in her foster home, but can't wait to meet her forever family! She deserves a loving home where she will never know neglect again.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Mia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
