My story

Meet Cadbury Cadbury is a 2-year-old Mini Poodle with energy to spare and a joyful, springy way of moving through the world. Recently spayed and up to date on vaccines, she’s ready to find a partner who can match her enthusiasm for life. Cadbury thrives on play and having something to do, whether that’s racing around a secure yard, heading out on long hikes, or learning new skills. She does settle nicely for naps on the sofa, and chewing her kong but that's only after a long hike. A securely fenced yard is essential, as Cadbury is athletic and capable of clearing a  chain link  fence when motivated, especially if there’s a squirrel involved. She walks nicely on leash, enjoys the company of other dogs, and loves her toys. Like many bright, active dogs, she benefits from clear structure around resources. Simply giving her space from other dogs during meals keeps things running smoothly. Cadbury still has some puppy-like play habits and can get a bit mouthy when excited, but she redirects easily to an appropriate toy. She’s looking for a home committed to positive reinforcement training to help her continue building good habits and confidence. She is not the best fit for a home with young children. She’ll let you know when someone arrives with a few barks, then settles within a couple of minutes. She is housetrained, travels well in the car, and settles nicely for short periods when other dogs are around. When alone, she’s still figuring things out and would benefit from a gradual approach to building independence. Cadbury would shine in a home that wants an active companion, whether that’s getting involved in dog sports or simply sharing an adventurous lifestyle. If you’re looking for a lively, clever dog who’s ready to learn and explore with you, Cadbury might be your match.May 4, 2026, 5:58 pm
