Meet Paul. Paul was originally expected to be a barn cat, but he quickly decided that outdoor life was not for him. Instead of chasing mice and living outside, Paul would much rather be indoors curled up in a warm lap soaking up attention from his people. Paul is an incredibly affectionate domestic medium hair cat with a gentle and loving personality. If you sit down, there is a very good chance he will immediately climb into your lap to keep you company. He is the type of cat that truly enjoys being close to his people and turns any house into a home with his sweet nature. Paul is FIV positive and FeLV negative. FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, affects a cat's immune system, but many FIV positive cats live long, happy, and completely normal lives with proper care and regular veterinary visits. FIV is most commonly spread through deep bite wounds between cats and is not typically transmitted through casual contact such as sharing food bowls, grooming, or cuddling. Because of this, many FIV positive cats can safely live with other friendly, nonaggressive cats. At this time, Paul does not require any special medication or treatment. He simply deserves a loving indoor home where he can remain healthy, safe, and cared for like any other cat. Paul is currently living in foster care while he waits for his forever family. Because he is not housed onsite, an approved online adoption application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet. Paul is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $50. If you are interested in giving Paul the loving home he deserves, please submit an adoption application at Rockwall Adoptions Adoption Application All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. May 19, 2026, 4:09 am
