My story

Meet Kane - A tiny guardian with a whole lot of love to give. He may be small, but he takes his role as your loyal protector very seriously. Kane forms a deep bond with his person and loves hard — he’s the kind of dog who will always be by your side, ready to keep you company and curl up in your lap. Kane has a playful side and absolutely loves affection. Whether he’s soaking up lap time or snuggled in bed with you at night, he thrives on closeness and connection. He’s also house trained with a pet door, making him an easy addition to the right home. Because Kane can be protective of his person, space, food, and toys, he does best with someone who understands boundaries and can provide structure. While he can coexist with other dogs once they respect his space, he would truly thrive as the only dog in the home where he doesn’t feel the need to “share” his favorite things. He also has a special little quirk — Kane had part of his jaw removed and only has teeth on one side, so soft treats are his favorite (and easiest for him to enjoy). Kane is looking for a patient, dog-savvy person who will respect his boundaries, earn his trust, and give him the secure, loving home he deserves. In return, you’ll get a fiercely loyal companion who just wants to love and be loved.
