Jessie (Jessica)

My story

Jessie is three years old. Has a tolerant relationship with my dog. Not friends though. She was given to me as a declawed cat which turned out not to be the case. I take her once a month to have her claws trimmed which she does very well. The problem occurred when I installed a whole house full of new Berber carpet and she has now started to claw everywhere. None of my corrective measures have solved the problem and I am at my wit's end! She likes to play in her litter box and flings wet litter wherever she can. I have replaced her litter box with a top loader which keeps things contained. She only does it occasionally and I have stocked up on litter box liners to mitigate the problem. She has become much more affectionate as time has gone by. I have had her for two years. Some days she is friendly and affectionate to anyone who comes near. other days somewhat standoffish. She's a little girl weighing in at ~8 lbs.
