My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Keanu Age: Around 2 years old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo mix Color: White Weight: 13 kg / 28.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from a neglected situation where I was cramped in a small cage with my friend Polly. Despite everything, we stuck by each other through it all. I’m even known as Polly’s boyfriend, which just shows how much I value companionship and connection.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super sweet and handsome boy with a heart full of love. Despite my difficult past, I’m still very trusting of people and truly enjoy being around them. Every day, I greet the volunteers and staff with my bright, dashing smile, and my positive energy tends to spread to everyone around me.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a tiny bit shy at first, but I warm up quickly and will soon greet you with warmth and happiness. I’m very gentle and accepting, happily taking treats and enjoying pets once I feel comfortable. I also allow myself to be picked up, making me an easygoing and affectionate companion. I like to show my belly once I feel comfortable! · With Dogs: I love greeting new dog friends and playing with them. I tend to get along best with dogs of a similar size or smaller, where I feel the most comfortable and can enjoy fun, balanced play. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a low to moderate energy level. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s going for walks or exploring, but I also settle nicely indoors and have no trouble relaxing and resting once I’ve had my activity.   TRAINING & HABITS I can pull on leash at times, especially when I’m excited, but I follow my handler’s lead nicely overall and continue to improve. I have good manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people or other dogs. I may bark occasionally when I’m looking for attention, but I settle down quickly and am overall a quiet and calm boy. I know how to rest comfortably in my kennel and relax well when it’s time to wind down. I’m also familiar with both indoor pee pads and outdoor potty, and with consistency, I’ll continue to build great habits.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Volunteers and staff all have a soft spot for me and truly want the very best for me. They always say I deserve a loving home where I can finally feel safe and cared for. I came from a severely neglected situation, but even so, I have so much potential waiting to shine. I’m still learning to build my confidence and understand the world around me, but I’m making progress every day. What hasn’t changed is how much I love people. Despite everything, I remain trusting, gentle, and easygoing, and I just want to be close to my humans and share my sweet, loving nature.   KEANU'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2716373##
