I was one of several puppies quietly left in front of a rescuer’s home…left behind without a word. But instead of turning us away, they chose to protect us. Because of that moment, I was given a chance to grow up safe and cared for. Now, I’m ready to find a home where I’ll never be left behind again.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Osun and I’m a gentle soul learning to be brave. I didn’t get to experience much of the world early on, so new places and unfamiliar faces can make me a little shy. I tend to take a step back at first, quietly observing and trying to understand what’s safe. But deep down, I truly love people. Once I get to know you, I start to come closer, showing my affectionate side and asking for attention in my own sweet way. I’m the kind of dog who builds a real, meaningful bond—you just have to give me that little bit of time. I’m quite smart and thoughtful, always watching and learning. With patience, gentle guidance, and a loving environment, I know I’ll continue to blossom. If you don’t mind going at my pace, I’ll slowly open up and show you just how loving and special I can be.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy when we first meet but treats really help me warm up. Sometimes I’ll come around quickly and be ready for pets, and other times I just need a little extra time before I feel fully comfortable with touch. Once I start to trust you, I open up in my own sweet way. You can gently pick me up by supporting me under my belly, and I’ll be okay with that. And when I feel completely safe, I’ll roll over and show you my belly—that’s my way of saying I trust you and feel at ease. · With Dogs: When another dog gets a little pushy or tries to start something, I usually choose to walk away instead of getting involved. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy getting outside and staying active, but I’m not overly energetic. After some fresh air and a good walk, I’m more than happy to settle down and relax quietly. I can get a little excited on walks and might pull on the leash at times, but I do like to follow my person and stay close.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m pretty easygoing when it comes to food—I don’t feel the need to guard it, whether I’m around people or other dogs. I might bark a little when I see someone new, just to let you know, but I settle down once I feel more comfortable. I usually prefer doing my business outside, so I’m most comfortable with outdoor potty routines.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I used to lean on a bigger dog for comfort, following them everywhere.
