My story

Stella’s recent Performance Appraisal from our Shelter Volunteers “Stella really leans in on people engagement, especially around belly rub acquisition. We have no doubt that she will continue to exceed expectations in snuggles delivered - making her an invaluable addition to any loving home.`BIO: - Bull Mastiff mix, 2 years old, Female (spayed)- Large (80 lb), High energy- She is an unclaimed stray from an over-crowded municipal shelter- Stella is house-trained, microchipped and has her core vaccinationsABOUT STELLA: - Stella walks well, she is good with traffic and people that pass by. She is mostly indifferent to other dogs she sees on a walk unless they are reactive to her - She knows sit, down, stay and heel and loves to practice them (she is very treat motivated which will make further training simpler)- Loves people, she can be shy at first but once she knows you are as happy to meet her, as she is to meet you, she quickly warms up - Stella is a playful dog, she LOVES enrichment games- Stella is good in a car- Small children are not recommended at this time due to unknown history and initial timidnessSTELLA’S IDEAL HOME:- Stella will require daily mental and physical exercise to keep her mind busy, regular walks and a backyard will be important for her to run around and engage in her favourite games- She needs a family that will give her time to settle at her own pace for her confidence to grow- She hasn’t been very vocal in the shelter and may be fine in a shared wall situation- Stella would do best in a home where she is the only dogIf you’re ready for endless lap flops, and providing scritches and pats in return, Stella is waiting to start your journey together! If you have any questions about Stella, contact her Adoption Coordinator at: cla98.ehs@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Stella, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
