Poppy

My story

We are looking for a safe, loving new home for our two bonded cats, Poppy and Pepper. We adopted this sibling pair as kittens. We love these cats very much and want to find them a calm, patient home where they will be cared for together. They have lived peacefully with our medium-sized dog, but have not had exposure to other cats or pets. We believe they would do best in a relatively quiet home without young children.Poppy (female, black, 7 years old)Poppy is sweet, curious, and affectionate once she feels safe. She loves laps, pets, watching the outside world through the window, and cuddling or playing with her brother. She is cautious with strangers at first, but warms up to familiar people with time. She tends to recover from stress more quickly than her brother. Poppy has a history of feline herpes conjunctivitis/keratitis and may occasionally get a watery eye when stressed. Feline herpes is fairly common in cats, is not contagious to humans, and does not require treatment.
