My story

All that Beau wants is a forever home with humans to love, a ball to play with, and a comfy bed to snooze on. Beau was originally found as a stray in Philadelphia and was taken to an overcrowded shelter where he was eventually placed on the euthanasia list for space. He was rescued and absolutely thrived in his foster home before being adopted where he lived with 3 young children, a cat, and another dog. Unfortunately, the other dog in his home made it very clear that she did not want a brother and because of this Beau seems to have some dog selectivity/boundaries, but he absolutely thrives with the right dog companion and playmate. He LOVES to meet new people and gets so excited anytime that he can. He does well with adults and kids alike, but he may gently jump up for some extra attention. He is wonderful with his feline friends. While he walks well on leash, he is very strong so having a secure fenced in yard that he can run around in is a must. He rides calmly in the car, does great in places like Home Depot, knows some commands, and takes treats very gently. He is housebroken, neutered, crate trained, and well mannered. Beau is a hunky 70 lb snuggle machine that thinks he’s a lap dog.
