My story

DOB: Feb 19, 2024 Pepper has been through a lot — and she's still one of the sweetest cats you'll ever meet. She came to her foster home by way of Toronto Animal Services, part of a group of five cats who were abandoned together. She had kittens, who were adopted without her. She deserves a home that's entirely her own. Once Pepper trusts you, she gives you everything. She's affectionate and attentive, always interested in what's happening around her, and never far behind — she'll follow you from room to room like a little shadow. When she wants attention, she'll flop dramatically onto her side and chirp until you get the message. She also expresses love by licking, so consider yourself kissed. She's a serious player. Wand toys, feather toys, cat dancers — she'll leap for all of it with full commitment. She's equally serious about hidden treat games, and equally serious about her litter box, which she arranges to her exact specifications with impressive (and audible) dedication. Pepper has the softest fur and the tiniest meow, which sometimes comes out as a squeak. She's also remarkably unfazed by noise — her foster home has a punk band rehearsing in the basement, and she takes it completely in stride. She does take some time to warm up to new people, so she'll do best with someone patient who lets her set the pace. In return, you get a loyal, loving companion who will make it very clear how happy she is that you showed up. Pepper would thrive in a home where someone has plenty of time for her — or with a young, friendly cat to keep up with her energy. She does need a small amount of daily support: she can be prone to constipation if she doesn't drink enough water, and currently takes a mild laxative to help keep things moving. It's a simple routine, not much trouble at all. She's been waiting long enough. Time to find her people!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pepper, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
