Hi! I’m Frederick and I am a very cute male 2-year-old domestic shorthair cat with orange fur and an adorable pink nose. I also have an extra “thumb” on my front paws, which make them look like little mittens. They don’t slow me down at all—it just means there’s more of me to love. I came to Abbey Cars from a referral from a rescue north of the city and am now living in a foster home with my foster mom and my buddy Walter, who came from the same place. I adjusted to my foster home quickly and love to explore. I am a confident and affectionate boy who loves to be the centre of attention. I’m not very vocal, but when I want a pat on the head or a cuddle, I will gently paw my foster mom’s legs. I sleep a lot during the day, but mornings and evenings I want to cuddle and be petted. I like to play and especially enjoy wrestling with Walter. I am very well-behaved and my foster mom calls Walter and me “perfect angels.” We recently went on a long car ride and we were quiet and good as gold during the whole drive. I really enjoy my kibble at mealtimes and always use my litter box. I’m fine living with other cats my foster mom thinks I would probably be fine with kids and dogs too. . I have so much love to give and I can’t wait to get to my forever home. If you are looking for a loving and confident pet, we might be the perfect match! I would be very happy as an only pet or in a home with a pet friend who wouldn’t mind me wanting to be in the limelight. And being adopted with my best friend Walter would be amazing! A note from Frederick’s foster mom: “Frederick is a bold and loving cat who would be an amazing pet. He is very cute, sweet and easy-going. Frederick would be very happy in a home on his own or with another pet that doesn’t mind him being the centre of attention. He and Walter get along very well and it would be great if they were adopted together.” Frederick would do well in a home where he can be the centre of attention.he would not do well with being alone all day as he craves affection and human as well as feline affection. Ideally, Frederick would be adopted with his friend Walter.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Frederick & Walter, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
