My story

INTELLIGENT & PLAYFULA smart, affectionate boy he should really be called Professor Wiggle Bottom since he turns into a soft, wiggly bundle the moment you give him attention - and watch out for his alter eager Sir Licks-a-Lot. BIO: - Cane Corso/Dogo mix, 5 years (approx) Male (neutered)- Large (73 lb weight), High/Medium energy-level- He is an unclaimed stray from an over-crowded municipal shelter- Kane is microchipped and has his core vaccinationsABOUT KANE: - Kane walks well on a leash, he is good with traffic and people that pass by. He is not reactive to other dogs he sees on a walk and hasn’t shown any prey drive, but he is a strong and curious guy and can pull when he sees something he wants to sniff out, with additional training we feel he’ll do even better on his walks- In the shelter his house-training has been inconsistent, however in his foster home - and with regular walks - there have not been any issues- Kane is a fun-loving guy and he will play alone. He LOVES enrichment games and learning new skills that use his smarts- Kane is good in a car, will jump right in and settle in- He knows sit, down, place, wait and stay and loves to practice them (he is very treat motivated which will make further training simpler)KANE’S IDEAL HOME:- This energetic guy will require daily mental and physical exercise to keep his mind busy, regular walks and a backyard will be important for his occasional zoomies and natural curiosity- We believe that Kane had very little structure in his life so far, but we have seen that he does well when he has it; a family with a regular routine will suit him well, especially as he adjusts in his new home- Kane will do best with an adopter who has experience with strong dogs - He will do best with older kids due to his size and strength- Kane gets along with most dogs, especially females, if his potential adopter already has a dog, we will arrange for a meet & greet. If you have any questions about Kane, contact his Adoption Coordinator at: jenc.ehs@gmail.com

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Kane, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
