My story

Meet Catty, a charming and somewhat reserved 10-month-old female domestic shorthair cat from London, Ontario. She was brought into the shelter in March, alongside a total of 9 other cats and kittens, all of whom are looking for their forever homes.   Despite her young age, Catty has developed some specific preferences and quirks that reflect her individual temperament. She tends to be uneasy around males and shows a distinct discomfort when encountering people who wear glasses. This behaviour suggests that she may have had limited socialization experiences in the past, which is not uncommon for cats in shelter environments. As a result, she often prefers to keep to herself, embodying the traits of a true introvert. This solitary nature does not mean she is unfriendly; rather, she simply thrives in quieter settings where she can feel safe and secure.   However, Catty does enjoy the company of her sister, with whom she shares a special bond. They can often be seen playing together, engaging in playful antics that showcase their youthful energy and curiosity. This interaction highlights Catty's ability to connect with her sibling, indicating that she may warm up to a patient and gentle human companion over time.   In an effort to ensure her well-being and future adoptability, Catty was spayed on March 31, a crucial step in her journey toward finding a permanent home. This procedure not only prevents unwanted litters but also contributes to her overall health and can help mitigate some behavioural issues related to hormonal changes.   With her spaying completed, Catty is now ready to start anew, and she is looking for a loving family who can provide her with the patience and understanding she needs to flourish. Potential adopters should be aware of her unique personality traits and be prepared to create a calm and nurturing environment where she can feel safe and eventually come out of her shell. Catty is at Purrfect Cafe (https://purrfect cafe.ca)April 18, 2026, 5:53 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Catty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
