My story

Midge (tuxedo kitty, lovingly called Midgey)Midge is a curious and gentle boy who enjoys being around people, even if he’s still a bit shy about touch. Right now, he’ll scoot away if you try to pet him, but he’s been making lovely progress at his own pace. With the help of treats and patience, he’s getting more comfortable—he’ll happily come over for finger sniffs and is slowly learning that people can be pretty great.He has such a sweet, relaxed personality. Midge loves hanging out nearby on the couch, and one of his cutest habits is stretching out on his back in the middle of the floor, paws in the air, completely at ease. He’s also discovering how fun playtime can be, especially when wand toys are involved!Midge will thrive with a patient, experienced adopter who understands shy cats and is happy to continue building his confidence. He’ll need someone comfortable helping him with things like getting into a carrier (we currently use a towel to do this safely and gently).Midge is very closely bonded with his brother, Smudge—they do everything together, from grooming and playing to napping side by side.
