My story

Pippin is a very low maintenance sweet dog who just wants to spend his time on the couch with a human. We got him 14 years ago from the pound and have enjoyed a long life with him, but unfortunately he is no longer compatible with our family. He has never particularly loved kids, but he used to tolerate them pretty well. As he has aged, he's become much less tolerant towards small children and we have now have a 3 year old and another baby on the way. He snaps at our toddler regularly and we are worried about it escalating. He is actually very healthy for his age. He's 15, he doesn't really need any exercise, but can still keep up with regular exercise and play. He has gone partially deaf and it has caused him to have more anxiety, which is a big part of why he is worse with kids now. Other than deafness and anxiety, he has no chronic health conditions. Pippin would do great in a home without small children! He still has a lot of life left to live!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pippin, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
