My story

Sury | Female | 2 years old | 53 lbs | Shepherd mix Sury is the most gentle dog in the world and doesn't have a single mean bone in her body. She was found as a stray living under a porch, but thankfully she's now safe in a foster home and really opening up to all that indoor living and family love have to offer! Sury is very sweet and welcomes everyone, human or dog, into her pack. She's a quick learner, very food motivated, and shows no signs of resource guarding. She has an outdoor bathroom routine already in place, sleeps through the night, and will sit before meals and when getting her harness on. This girl is smart and up for learning new skills! She's also a collector; she loves her toys and is also fond of picking up a shoe or stray sock to take to her bed, not to destroy but to keep safe and get comfort from. She loves men and women equally, and seems curious about children. Sury has a medium energy level. She likes to play outside and walks well on leash (though squirrels are intriguing!) She can be a little shy with new dogs but warms up quickly and is very respectful of older dogs. She'd be a wonderful second dog, or happy as a solo dog. Sury really loves to be close to her people, either cuddling or relaxing nearby. For this reason, she'd love a family where someone is home a fair bit. She gets comfort from closeness, and you will surely get comfort from her too! Like many dogs who have had a harder start in life, Sury needed to learn how to play. She's taking to it like a champ, and is really goofy when playing with her toys, often ending up in silly positions and even somersaulting while running around. This girl is so beautiful inside and out. She's going to make an absolutely dreamy companion to some lucky adopter!
