My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Geumbi Age: Born September 2025 (Around 6 months old) Gender: Female (Spaying to be scheduled) Breed: Jindo mix Color: Brown, black Weight: 7.9kg / 17.6lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My brave mama spent her days wandering the streets, doing everything she could to survive on her own. When it was finally time, she found a small sense of safety at a factory site, where she brought six of us into the world—including me. It wasn’t an easy place to grow up, but the kind workers there did their best to look out for us, making sure we had food and a bit of protection whenever they could. Even so, it wasn’t the right environment for tiny puppies like us, and with so many little ones, we needed more care than they could provide. That’s when our story took a hopeful turn. Rescuers heard about us and stepped in with open hearts, bringing our whole little family to safety and giving us a second chance at life. Now, we’re safe, growing stronger every day, and ready for the happiest chapter yet—finding our forever families who will love us as much as we’ll love them.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spaying to be scheduled. Healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY When you first meet me, I might remind you of a little chestnut! I have the softest light brown fur with touches of black on my face, giving me an irresistibly adorable look. I can be a bit shy at first, but I warm up very quickly and my sweet, gentle personality starts to shine through. I’ve shown just how resilient I am—I handled my very first baths and grooming sessions like a champ, even though they were completely new to me. I may have started off as one of the bigger pups in my litter, and even when my siblings pushed me around, I’ve always stayed kind and gentle at heart. I don’t let those experiences define me—I’m a soft, loving girl who’s ready to share all my warmth and affection with my future family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but I warm up very, very quickly and soon start enjoying pets and affection. During my photoshoot, I did so well and quickly became comfortable with the staff and volunteers. I’m also happy to be picked up, making me an easygoing and affectionate companion once I feel safe. · With Dogs: I get along well with the dogs at the care facility and prefer to keep the peace rather than engage in any conflicts. I’m a happy, easygoing girl with a gentle and passive nature—I naturally lean toward being a little peacemaker. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level—I enjoy spending some time outdoors to explore and get fresh air, but I’m just as happy to come inside and snuggle up once I’ve had my fun. I have a nice balance of playful and cozy.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners but improving a little more each day. I have great manners around food and don’t guard it from people or other dogs. I settle nicely in my kennel and know how to rest calmly when it’s time to relax. I also prefer going potty outdoors and do well with a consistent routine. I find a lot of comfort in my dog friends and often look to them for emotional support, which helps me feel more confident. With people, I may start off a bit soft, but I warm up quickly and enjoy being close and building trust. With continued guidance and love, I’ll keep growing into a confident and well-adjusted companion.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a gentle, easygoing girl with a naturally calm and peaceful temperament. I get along well with other dogs and often look to them for comfort, so I may thrive in a home with a friendly, well-balanced dog companion. I form strong bonds once I feel safe and warm up quickly, showing my affectionate and loving side. I have excellent manners around food, settle calmly in my kennel, and prefer an outdoor potty routine. I do best in a stable, supportive environment where I can continue building my confidence at my own pace. With patience, consistency, and kindness, I’ll blossom into a loyal, sweet, and wonderfully balanced companion.   GEUMBI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2701037##
