My story

Meet Bandit! This special guy came to us from a partner organization. He is a very shy boy who is still learning to trust people and is looking for a very special home with people who will be willing to be patient and respect his boundaries. Bandit needs a home with adopters who are willing to work with a shy/timid/fearful dog. Bandit takes a long time to warm up to people and build trust. He will need continued training desensitizing him to a leash and getting him comfortable with going outside at a pace that meets him where he is at. He would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help build trust with his people and to gain confidence in himself. Adopters interested in Bandit should be aware that he may require multiple meet and greets before he is comfortable enough to go home. We feel that an adopter with experience working with fearful dogs would be best suited to meet Bandit’s needs. His ideal home will be quiet and low activity with no other dogs and human friends aged 13 years or older.
