My story

This is Tucker, a sweet boy who is still trying to figure out the world around him!Tucker is a sensitive, shy, and handsome guy who gets along with any animal, currently living with both dogs and cats. He has a very submissive nature and can be timid of new places and people, which is why Tucker should be in a home with another confident dog to help him gain confidence. He absolutely loves other dogs and loves to play! He also loves treats and playing with balls, becoming quite the toy hoarder himself. Tucker hasn`t been destructive at all, besides chewing on the occasional toy. He is learning every day that the world isn`t so scary, and with a patient and loving home with other dogs to help him, Tucker will thrive!Tucker is also really laid back and doesn`t mind laying around the house all day with you. He is still coming around to the idea of leashes and walks, but for right now, he is totally content being a couch potato. Tucker probably would not do very well in an apartment because he is still a little nervous of going on walks. However, Tucker is potty trained with regular trips outside. He is a really smart boy, and by establishing a routine with Tucker, he learns what he is supposed to do and in turn builds confidence. At night, Tucker sleeps in his crate, which also serves as his safe place. Tucker likes having his own crate or small area where he can retreat when he is feeling a little scared or overwhelmed. He is left in a room when his foster parents are gone and does great! He is a very quiet boy and honestly very easy to take care of. He just needs to get comfortable with his surroundings first to come out of his shell.Tucker is waiting for his forever home and would love nothing more than to spend the rest of his days with someone who loves him back just as much! He will need a patient home who understands he will need some time to adjust, but that patience will be rewarded with the sweetest boy who will always be by your side. A calm and understanding environment is what will help Tucker thrive!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tucker, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
