My story

QUICK FACTS Name: Daru Age: Born September 27th 2025 (Around 6 months old) Gender: Female (To be spayed soon) Breed: Mini Jindo mix Color: Brown Weight: 10.5kg/ 23lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY My brave mama spent her days wandering the streets, doing everything she could to survive on her own. When it was finally time, she found a small sense of safety at a factory site, where she brought six of us into the world—including me. It wasn’t an easy place to grow up, but the kind workers there did their best to look out for us, making sure we had food and a bit of protection whenever they could. Even so, it wasn’t the right environment for tiny puppies like us, and with so many little ones, we needed more care than they could provide. That’s when our story took a hopeful turn. Rescuers heard about us and stepped in with open hearts, bringing our whole little family to safety and giving us a second chance at life. Now, we’re safe, growing stronger every day, and ready for the happiest chapter yet—finding our forever families who will love us as much as we’ll love them.   MY HEALTH Spaying to be scheduled soon. Healthy with no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date   MY PERSONALITY I’m the most outgoing one out of my siblings! Even though it hasn’t been long since we were rescued and arrived at the shelter, I’ve been adapting quickly and taking all these new changes in stride. I really enjoy being around people—I love interacting, asking for attention, and soaking up all the pets I can get. I did amazing during my very first grooming session and handled it like a pro! I also have a great appetite, which makes me extra eager to learn and easy to motivate during training. I’m a bright, curious, and affectionate pup who’s ready to keep learning and growing with my future family.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I might be a little shy at first, but I’m a gentle and curious girl who warms up quickly—especially when treats are part of the introduction! I’m happy to take treats from your hand while I get to know you, and it doesn’t take long for my sweet, affectionate personality to come through. Once I feel safe and settled, I really enjoy pets and cuddles, and I’m comfortable being picked up too. I’m an easygoing, loving companion who enjoys staying close to my people. · With Dogs: I can be a bit selective with my dog friends. I get along well with the dogs I know at the care facility, but I like to take a little time to warm up when meeting new ones. With slow, thoughtful introductions, I’m able to build comfortable and positive friendships. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I’m a high-energy pup who loves to stay active and engaged! I enjoy having space to run, play, and explore my surroundings—it’s how I burn off my energy and satisfy my curiosity. Once I’ve had my fill of fun and adventure, I’m happy to settle down and relax. A good balance of activity and downtime   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners, but I’m making steady progress each day. Walks can feel a little overwhelming at times, so I may pause or gently flatten myself to the ground when I’m unsure—but with patience, encouragement, and a kind approach, I’m gradually building my confidence and learning that the world isn’t so scary after all. I’m a quiet, easygoing girl who rarely barks, and I settle nicely in my kennel when it’s time to rest. I have a calm, gentle nature and tend to go with the flow once I feel safe and comfortable. For potty habits, I can use both indoor pee pads and go outdoors. With consistency, reassurance, and lots of love, I’ll continue to grow and blossom into a confident, well-mannered, and deeply loving companion.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Understanding I’m still a young pup and will need continued socialization and basic obedience training   SPECIAL NOTES I may take a little time to feel fully comfortable, but once I do, my sweet and gentle personality really shines through. I do best with a patient and understanding family who can give me the time and reassurance I need to build confidence at my own pace. I’m not the type to demand attention right away, but I truly enjoy quiet companionship and being near my people. I thrive in a calm environment where I can feel safe, and I’ll reward your kindness with loyalty, affection, and trust. I’m also very food-motivated, which makes me a wonderful training partner! I have a great appetite and get excited about treats, so I’m eager to learn and respond really well to positive reinforcement. With consistency and gentle guidance, I can quickly pick up new skills and build good habits. Training with me can be a fun and rewarding experience—we’ll grow and learn together every day.   DARU'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2698707##
