My story

💕 Miss Finny came to us when her mama became homeless and needed a safe, loving place for her. Since then, Finny has been gently taking in her new world — exploring new smells, sounds, and experiences with curiosity and grace. Finny is a sweet, affectionate 4‑year‑old Carolina dog, weighing about 35–40 pounds, and she truly has the biggest heart. She gets along fantastically with other dogs and clearly loves being part of a pack. Mealtime is a group affair for her, and she’s happiest when she’s right there with her doggy friends (and her people). This girl enjoys the water and will happily swim, and yes — she even knows how to get herself safely out of the pool! She also has the adorable instinct to dig and hide her bones, which is incredibly endearing to watch. If you have a soft yard, she’d be in heaven showing off this natural talent. Finny is excellent on a leash. She doesn’t bark at passing dogs — she simply pauses politely, hoping to say hello. Grooming is a breeze too: she walks right into the shower without a fuss, and once she’s towel‑dried, she proudly zooms around to make sure everyone knows just how pretty and clean she is. After a good round of zoomies, Finny’s favorite place is right next to you. She’s a total love bug who wants to be close — touching you, leaning into you, and soaking up affection. She’s crate trained, but in the evenings she’s been enjoying couch time with her foster family, snuggling in and settling down for the night. Finny is truly a gem — gentle, loving, joyful, and deeply connected to her people. Whoever is lucky enough to scoop her up will never regret it. She’s ready to give her whole heart to a family who will love her back forever. đŸŸđŸ’– Finny's $300 adoption fee includes a microchip, vaccinations, and spay surgery. If you would like to set up a Meet & Greet and be considered for adoption, please click on the button with the pet’s name to fill out an application. Someone will contact you within 24 hours. If you have difficulty with the application, please email us at Rescue@AnthemPets.org. If you have any questions or would like to adopt Finny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
