My story

Meet May May is a quiet little soul who’s been on quite a journey—and it shows in the sweetest ways. She’s come a long way since her early days and continues to grow more comfortable and trusting with each passing week. While she can still get a bit startled or defensive at times, once she knows she’s safe, she truly enjoys affection. In fact, she’ll lean right into your hand for pets, soaking up the gentle attention in her own special way. May is what you might call an independent lady. She’s not likely to be the kind of cat who’s always curled up in your lap, but she absolutely forms meaningful connections with her people. She thrives in a calm, patient home where she can build trust at her own pace and be appreciated for exactly who she is. If you’re someone who understands that love doesn’t always look like constant cuddles—and that earning a cat’s trust is one of the most rewarding bonds there is—May could be your perfect match. She’s a beautiful reminder that even the more reserved kitties have so much love to give ##2436767##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt May, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
