My story

**Note: Hewyi is currently in Korea, but will arrive in Toronto once he is adopted. For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click the link.---------------------------------BackgroundHewyi was rescued from a puppy mill in Boryeong, Korea in the summer of 2023. After his rescue, he spent some time at a local shelter before moving to one of our partner boarding homes. Since then, he has been living peacefully with other dogs and slowly learning what a safe and gentle life feels like.Personality and SocializationHewyi has a medium energy level and a very sweet, gentle nature. He is a lovely and friendly boy who is well mannered and easy to be around. He greets both people and dogs with a calm and open heart. Hewyi is affectionate and enjoys quiet moments of closeness, always happy to stay near his people. He is not shy with strangers and settles in comfortably in new situations. With other dogs, Hewyi is gentle and respectful. He gets along well without causing any trouble. While he is not especially interested in playing, he is very good at peacefully coexisting and is comfortable sharing his space with other dogs.BehaviourHewyi has shown no signs of separation anxiety. He is calm and cooperative during vet visits and walks nicely on leash. He is patient during bath time and relaxed in the car. He is trained to use pee pads and has not shown any destructive behaviour. He is not a big barker and has a very easygoing personality.Health and DietHewyi is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and on monthly parasite prevention. When he was first rescued, he had patellar luxation and a hernia, but he has received treatment and has recovered well. He is now healthy and ready for his forever home. Hewyi eats kibble and is doing well on his current diet.Ideal HomeHewyi is a very easygoing and wonderful boy who is not demanding and does not need a lot of extra care. He can fit well into many different types of families. What matters most for him is having a home where he is not left alone for long periods and where he can spend plenty of time with his people. He is a loving and snuggly boy who truly enjoys being close. Hewyi has so much quiet affection to give, and the family who welcomes him home will be very lucky to have such a gentle and devoted companion.**Note: Hewyi is currently in Korea, but will arrive in Toronto once he is adopted. For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please click the link.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hewyi, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
